Zach walked into a classroom. He had just finished eating dinner, and decided to explore the school. He had ended up in a music room, judging by the posters on the walls. He didn't mind though, since he saw a guitar sitting up against the wall. He walked over to it and picked it up. It was like his guitar at home, that the school wouldn't let him bring in. They thought he had stolen it or something. He just wished everyone would foreget what happened. He brought the new guitar over to a seat, and sat down. He placed it on his lap. He couldn't see very well, the only light in the room came from the moon outside. He started to strum the guitar, before going into a full on rhythm. He started to hum a random song, not even knowing what it was. It had been a while since he had played guitar. He missed it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------~OUTFIT~I'd been planning to go to the recording area in the music room for a while, and figured that it was worth while to skip the decorating committee shit and go while I had the time. Of course, I figured I'd be alone, it was pretty late. I opened the door, and heard the guitar, turning the dial so there was enough light for us to see. I was a bit stunned to see the new Alpha sitting there. I shut the door behind me. And as I moved in the slightest a piece of metal hit a cymbal on the drums and made a loud clanging noise
"Fuck," I mumbled under my breath, grabbing the cymbal to stop it from moving. I let go and looked at the boy, who was pretty damn hot, even for an Alpha, taking a couple steps more into the room. "Sorry..." I said quietly before walking towards the recording room and shutting the door behind me. The thing about the recording room was that the room you sang in was soundproof, so he wouldn't be able to hear me unless he went into the room with the sound table. I dropped my bag on a stool in the corner, then sat down at the big chair and plugged my iPod in. I had pre-recorded some of my favourite songs on either my piano or guitar, I just needed to add my own vocals.
I turned on My Immortal by Evanescence for a practice song, then Soulmate by Natasha Bedingfield that I was going to record. I took the remote that turned the music on and off into the soundproof room. I sat down on the stool and put the headphones on, pressing the button to start My Immortal. I was only singing half the song, then it would fade out and I'd know the next song was coming. So, then I began to sing.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He continued to play the guitar, and actually started singing. He hated singing in public, but it felt good to stretch his voice. Then he heard the crashing of a cymbal. He turned around to see a girl standing there looking emberrased. He was about to say something when she apologized and walked into the recording studio. He watched her plug in her iPod and start singing. Being curious as he was, he watched her. He waited until he was sure she could see him, and walked into the room with the sound table. She was facing the other way, away from him, so unless she turned around she couldn't know he was there. He put on the head phones and turned some knobs, turning the sound board on. He listened to her sing, and she was pretty good. "You know, that would be better sung as an A note. Amy Lee doesn't know what she's talking about. Well, or singing about." He chuckled a bit at his bad joke and smiled. He hoped she didn't think he was criticizing her singing. He really wasn't, it was just natural for him to give pointers to people.

------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ I looked up startled when I heard the voice on the mic. I couldn't believe that an Alpha was talking to me! He must've been new. I paused the music and glared at him. "Wow, an Alpha with intelligence in something besides sports!" I said, sacrasm ringing clear in my voice, "Hell just froze over." I slipped off the headphones and walked into the room he was in, sitting down at the chair and fiddling with some of the controls, sort of ignoring him.
When I was done I stood up and looked at him. "I know you're new and all, so you should get one thing straight. You're an Alpha, I'm an Individual. Our groups hate each other, okay? You insult me, I insult you. That's the way things work in this hell hole, thanks to your little head alpha Felicity. So, unless you want to be killed by the rest of your friends in that group for breaking that little code, I suggest we don't speak." I spun on my heels and walked to my purse, reaching in and checking my cell in case my Nana had texted me. Yes, my Nana knew how to text. It shocked me, too.
I made sure there were no texts and then walked to my iPod, changing the next song. Then I went back into the other room and sat down, hitting the button. Hurt by Christina Aguilera started playing, and I hit every note. I made sure that he'd have nothing to comment on, and if he did I would get insanely mad. This was the song that I dedicated to my dad, and if this guy didn't like it, that was his problem. Of course I started crying a bit, but I didn't care. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------

Zach listened as the girl spoke about hell freezing over. He chuckled a bit. He watched her come over. He thought about how pretty she was, if not in the normal blonde sence. He looked at her as she sat down. If she knew she was making her sound set up to be terrible, she did not seem to care. He listened as she gave him a lecture on why they shouldn't talk. He found this rather amusing, since he would talk to her any way. He wondered if he should interupt her, and say he didn't follow rules placed by blondes, but decided to wait. He waited for her to go back in and start singing before interupting her again. "If you haven't noticed, I'm not really your typical Alpha. Amd I'm a code breaker." He laughed and managed to wink.

------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ I sighed when I was done the song, wiping my eyes and making sure no sign that I'd been crying was left before getting up and going into the other room. "So basically, you're trying to avoid them," I said with a bit of a smile, "Well then, that changes things a bit. Rulebreakers are my kind of people. For instance, I'm supposed to be decorating for that goddamned dance I don't even know why I'm going to, but skipped out." I sat down and looked at the soundboard, moving controls and such.
"Why is someone like you even an Alpha anyway? You have to be the first one ever to not attempt to humiliate me in some way," I asked, not looking at him. He was hot, really hot. But he was an Alpha, and unless he had a pretty good excuse for me not to, I didn't like him very much. It surprised me I was even being spoken to, let alone by an Alpha. Usually, besides Mel and Ally, it was either insults or ignorance. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------

Zach laughed at the girls joke. At least he thought it was a joke. Not all Alphas were jerks. Isabella seemed nice to him. But maybe that was it. She was just nice to him. When the girl stopped talking, he had to consider it. Why was he an Alpha? He honestly didn't know. He was just always popular. "I don't know. It doesn't seem right does it?" He spoke into the microphone so she could hear him. He took his finger off the button and stood up. He walked out of the studio and into the music room. He waved goodbye to her and turned to leave. This girl was rude, bitchy, and overall a stereo typer. He turned around and walked into the room where she was. "Do you want to go to the dance with me? I have to go, and you seem like the kind of person I'd want to go with. I'm willing to break a few rules."

I smiled when he said it didn't seem right. "No, I suppose it doesn't." I felt sort of bad when I realized this, and when he came into the other room and asked me to the dance I just about passed out. I kept my cool though. "Well, first I'm going to apologize, which is a very rare thing so you better accept it. I know I came off as a bitch, but I'm not a person to trust others, especially the people in your group. I've had a few, well, many bad experiences with them, not to mention all others like them. So, I'm sorry I misjudged you," I hated apologizing, but I did so anyway. I smiled honestly at him, making sure he knew I was telling the truth.
"Now, onto this dance topic. I'll make you a deal. If you can find me by the end of the night and prove to me you'd break the rules, then you have a chance with me. If not, I'll consider you just like all those other Alphas that I can't stand. Okay?" I smiled, then noticed the clock, "Shit, I should go. By the way, I'm Vivienne. Just call me Viv, though, calling me by my full name and I'll kill you." I smiled, grabbing my bag and waiting for his reply.

She was cute. A bit edgy. Maybe even a tad bit scary. But cute non the less. He laughed and picked his own bag up. "Well then, I will see you at the dance Viv." He laughed and walked closer to her. He looked deep into her eyes as if about to start an intense kiss. "I think I will recognize you from a thousand miles away." He smiled and turned to walk away. Zach left feeling like king of the world.
