I was sitting on the deck at Melody Lake, my ipod in my ears and the notebook sitting on my lap. I was writing, writing about nothing in particular yet it would be something when I was done with it. I tapped my pen to the music as I thought of what to write, and then began to write again. I pushed my hair behind my ear and flipped the page, starting on a new one after running out of room. I was wearing my bathing suit underneath my tank top, I was planning on going swimming later that day. I had brought an extra sweater in case I got cold and my sunglasses in case it got too sunny, I was fully aware of how quickly the weather could change here.

I was waiting for someone, which was rare, and even more stunning was that I was waiting for a guy. Zach and I had gotten pretty close at that dance, to the point where I had told him about my parents and we had almost kissed. I wasn't going to let him kiss me just yet, I needed to be able to trust him more before doing something I could regret. After all, he was an Alpha, and they were known for their devious ways of humiliating someone. We weren't even supposed to talk in the first place, so we had to keep the entire friendship, or whatever this was, secret. That's why we were coming here. I grabbed my iPod, switching the song to something more upbead before heading back to writing.
